Youth and Women for Opportunities Uganda (YWOU) is a non-profit, community-based organization situated in the Teso region of Eastern Uganda. Our primary mission is to provide assistance to the most vulnerable social groups in the area, enabling them to break free from poverty and achieve fulfilling lives through access to education and good health. YWOU is actively involved in a variety of initiatives, including comprehensive training programs, scholarships, and bursaries to ensure quality education, life skills and vocational training, HIV/AIDS programs, economic empowerment, family support, sports and recreational activities, and advocacy for fundamental human rights. We collaborate with local communities, governments, families, and other stakeholders in rural areas to deliver a wide range of community services that address various issues, such as education, agriculture, agro-forestry, climate change, food security, clean water, sanitation and hygiene, poverty alleviation, and the empowerment of women.
